TAT 2027 is a full-day workshop co-located with ICSA 2027, the International Conference on Software Architecture. The workshop focuses on the architectural foundations of trustworthy agent-based systems.

Call for Papers

TAT 2027 invites submissions on the theory, architecture, and system design of trustworthy agent-based systems. TAT particularly emphasizes principled foundations, models, and guarantees for trustworthiness, rather than general-purpose agent architecture alone.

We invite Full Papers of up to 8 pages and Short Papers of up to 4 pages. Short papers may present position or vision statements, preliminary results, experience reports, or work in progress.

Workshop Theme

Agentic systems increasingly interact with external services, maintain evolving state, and act across shifting trust boundaries. TAT 2027 brings together software architecture, AI engineering, security, formal reasoning, and systems researchers to discuss how such systems can remain controllable, reliable, and accountable in practice.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Software architectures for trustworthy agent systems
  • Trust and control models for agent orchestration
  • Trustworthy coordination and interaction in multi-agent systems
  • Agent systems in distributed, adversarial, and uncertain environments
  • Security and privacy of agentic systems
  • Trust boundaries and authority delegation
  • Verification and assurance of agent behavior
  • Runtime monitoring and enforcement
  • Accountability, auditability, and provenance
  • Trustworthy tool use and external actions
  • Evaluation methodologies for trustworthy agents
  • Formal models and guarantees for agentic systems
  • Reliability, robustness, and fault tolerance
  • Memory, state, and integrity in long-running agents
  • Benchmarking and evaluation of trustworthy agents
  • Trade-offs among autonomy, safety, explainability, and controllability
  • Cross-disciplinary work connecting architecture, AI agents, security, and formal reasoning

Submission

Submissions will be handled through the ICSA 2027 EasyChair submission site. Authors should select the TAT 2027 workshop track.

Accepted papers will be published in the ICSA 2027 Companion Proceedings and appear in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
  • Submissions must follow the IEEE Computer Society proceedings format.
  • Full Papers: up to 8 pages in IEEE format.
  • Short Papers: up to 4 pages in IEEE format.
  • Submissions must not have been previously published or be under review elsewhere at the time of submission.
  • Changes to the author list are not permitted after submission.
  • At least one registered author of each accepted paper must present in person.
  • Workshop organizers may not submit papers to their own workshop.

Review Process

Each submission will be reviewed by at least three members of the program committee.

Papers will be evaluated based on originality, technical quality, relevance to TAT, and potential to stimulate discussion.

Distinguish Paper Award

Approximately 5% of the total accepted papers will receive the Distinguish Paper Award.
