ICSA 2027 / International Conference on Software Architecture
Sydney, Australia, 8-12 March 2027
Accepted workshop. TAT 2027 has been selected for inclusion in the ICSA 2027 Workshops program.

Call for Papers

TAT 2027 invites submissions on the theory, architecture, and system design of trustworthy agent-based systems. We welcome full research papers, short papers, position papers, vision papers, and experience reports.

Submissions should present original ideas, empirical findings, architectural frameworks, design principles, evaluation methods, or open challenges related to trustworthy agent systems.

Workshop Theme

Agentic systems increasingly interact with external services, maintain evolving state, and act across shifting trust boundaries. TAT 2027 brings together software architecture, AI engineering, security, formal reasoning, and systems researchers to discuss how such systems can remain controllable, reliable, and accountable in practice.

Topics of Interest

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Software architectures for trustworthy agent systems
  • Agent orchestration, coordination, and control
  • Multi-agent architectures and interaction models
  • Agent systems in distributed, adversarial, and uncertain environments
  • Trust boundaries, capability management, and secure tool use
  • Runtime assurance, monitoring, and policy enforcement
  • Verification, testing, and validation of agent behaviour
  • Reliability, robustness, and fault tolerance
  • Memory, state, and integrity in long-running agents
  • Benchmarking and evaluation of trustworthy agents
  • Trade-offs among autonomy, safety, explainability, and controllability
  • Cross-disciplinary work connecting architecture, AI agents, security, and formal reasoning
